My name is Kriszta Topai-Deák. I am a woman, a mother of two beautiful children, wife of a gardener and a peaceful activist, a psychologist and psychotherapist.
I completed my bachelor's degree in psychology and my master's degree in clinical psychology, psychotherapy, and psychological counseling at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.
Over the years, I have completed various training and courses in mindfulness, Moreno's psychodrama, animal-assisted activities and therapy, parenting, and I have accumulated hundred, perhaps thousands of hours of volunteering in hospitals, schools, nursing homes. I also completed a postgraduate program as a nurse.
I define myself in two ways: 1. as a woman and a mother, and 2. as a psychologist and psychotherapist.
I strongly believe in the goodness and kindness of people. I believe in assertive communication, empathy, tolerance, and unconditional acceptance. I also believe that each of us is unique, special, and magical – you, me, all of us.

It's normal to feel unsure about whether you need professional help. If you are struggling with overwhelming emotions, experiencing persistent stress or anxiety, facing relationship issues, or finding it difficult to cope with daily life, seeking the support of a counsellor, psychotherapist, or psychologist may be beneficial.
When selecting a therapist, consider their qualifications, experience, and approach to therapy. It's essential to find someone you feel comfortable talking to and who can provide the support you need. Don't hesitate to ask questions during the initial consultation to ensure a good fit.
Yes, counselling, psychotherapy, and psychologist sessions are confidential. Therapists are bound by strict confidentiality guidelines, ensuring that what you discuss in sessions remains private. However, there are exceptions to confidentiality, such as situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
The length of time it takes to see results from counseling sessions with Ansuz varies depending on the individual and the issues being addressed. Some clients may see improvements after just a few sessions, while others may require longer-term therapy.
In a therapy session, you can expect a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Your therapist will listen attentively, provide support and guidance, and help you develop coping strategies to manage challenges effectively. Therapy is a collaborative process aimed at promoting growth and well-being.
Therapy for children may be recommended if they are experiencing behavioral issues, emotional difficulties, academic challenges, social struggles, trauma, or significant life changes. Parents, teachers, or healthcare professionals may suggest therapy when a child's well-being and development are impacted.
Signs that your child may benefit from therapy include persistent mood changes, excessive worry or fear, difficulty managing emotions, changes in sleep or appetite, academic decline, social withdrawal, or behavioral outbursts. Consult a mental health professional for an assessment if you have concerns about your child's well-being.
Therapy sessions with children are confidential, but with some limitations. Therapists prioritize the child's privacy while also ensuring their safety and well-being. Parents may be informed about the general themes discussed in sessions to support the child's progress and implement strategies at home.
Usually a session last 50 minutes.
Parents can support their child's therapy journey by being open to communication, actively participating in family therapy sessions or parent consultations, implementing strategies recommended by the therapist, and creating a nurturing and supportive home environment. Collaboration between parents and the therapist is essential for the child's progress.
A counseling session with Ansuz typically lasts for 50 minutes, although session length may vary depending on your specific needs and preferences.
